Why do not we say “smart” house, but “smart” household and what do we include in it 

Maybe if you are reading this article, you already have a smart home with devices that you manage over the Internet (IoT) or plan to do. From our point of view, and to some extent, it is disappointing to you that the home seems smart just because many people have put in the effort, knowledge, and money to make it so with standards, recommendations, devices, networks, servers, and applications. 

The home devices and software scripts they execute must be under your control. Do you know whose and where the servers you manage your home are? Can you ask for information and help with a technical problem? Is encrypted protocol managing? Do you manage all your devices with one app and how many places are installed? Is your home protected from unauthorized access?

Why should this interest you? If you only turn the lamp on and off in the hallway, then the following lines will not be of interest to you.
